What’s up r/xbiking just got this new specialized hard rock from Craigslist for $95, came fully built up but most of the components were pretty beat up. Replaced the bottom bracket today after having a hard time taking out the old crusty BB. I want to convert this to a 1×8 system, this is my first time working on a bike with gears, any tips? What size chainring are you running and do you need a “drop stop” chainring?
