Was the road closed down for this? Or did the teams have to contend with normal traffic too?
Video is 8 hours old but there is comment's from months ago
This is going to be great!
What the fork ! 😮 Glad everyone survived the spills and thrills. Thanks for sharing their journey. Wheely good stuff ! 🍁🤙
Downie I hope every year this event gets bigger and bigger and more countries from all over the globe join in
What could go wrong? 😂🤣 This will no doubt be quite exilerating!
So excited for this series!!!
Oh no that crash looked painful! I hope they'll all be okay!
the dam puns
Stoked for the next one! Want more Jude ❤️
This series is so exciting! Can't wait til the next one!
The captain controlling everything is the way to go. I would go with Di2 without cable controls and hydraulic brakes with biggest rotors, 48 spoke wheels with ratchet engagement 18T
LOVE TEAM USA LOVE WIRTH ❤
The YouTube channel Kara and Nate just finished a cross country ride on a trandem bike. 8 people taking turns riding. The lead on the bike controlled everything.
I had never known this was a thing till I saw your intro, and I also am fascinated by the roles and the different mechanics required to make these bikes work! This is fantastic! And nice wheels (motorized and manual!)
I didn't think I was going to like this video. I'm not much for bike races. But Mike surprised me. As he does so seamlessly, his videos are about people and connections. I should have known, though. I don't like car racing either and yet enjoyed those videos too.
well i like this …
So i watched Kara and Nates video of crossing the US in a tri tandem. And boy they kept getting flats and chain issues, and the rear freewheel also broke on their tandem. Are these just normal bikes extended no extra work done? Seems a bit silly to not upgrade the rear hub and add chain tensioners where needed.
Awesome man, that's awesome…!! I'm a daily basis Urban Biker, so I loved this chapter. I bet next one is gonna be so exciting as well. 😃🚲👍
Just finished one tandem bike series (Kara and Nate) and on to this one now.
Super cool. Hoping everyone on team New Zealand is ok , looking forward to watching more of the race. 👍🚵
This is actually a pretty awesome series!!! Keep Killing the content🍻🍻
Just be safe!🚵♂️🚵♀️🚵🚵❤🎉😊
Everyone hit the like button now now
me and my dad been long time watchers n just realised i wasn’t subscribed! awesome video downie keep it up!
Loving it. The idea of the guy in the back braking and changing gears is insane. I'd love to see a team Germany in future
I'm trying to convince my husband to create a cayman islands team. Note neither of us own a bike or even ride occasionally 😂. I hope Team New Zealand is doing ok!
That was really exciting! I hope that with time bigger crowds and biger investments goes into quad tandem
I thought the video should have been longer, maybe 30 min for something like this or even an hour, because I was losing the story some when you jumped around to the different teams and the segments were so short.
Great new series!
Looks like they really need to improve on the bike's reliability for the race to be more viable. It's more of a mechanic's race at this point.
How exciting! I loved! Wow!🥰
Interesting 👍 shame they cant make the bikes longer so the riders are alternating their pedal strokes. That would avoid the bike frame bouncing and putting immense pressure on the forms and wheels. So 1,2,3,4 instead of all on 1.
Shame the route they're on is gravel 😬 can tell they were sooo glad with a main road surface.
Anyone else wondering how multi person bikes have become the next big YouTube thing 🤣 between kara & nate and now Michael!
I absolutely love what you did in episode 1. Very excited for the rest of this series. Great job with the story telling.
I’m hooked!! This is 10/10 storytelling. Can’t wait for next week 🚴🏻🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻🚴🏻♀️
Im a cat that likes to meow every day meow meow meow meow
It would be cool to partner with a big bike brand who can build you guys a bike that can stand up to the load. Also I think the sport would benefit more from a total time win rather than a position based one due to the staggered starts. Time starts when you set off, stops when you either hit the end of a checkpoint/end of the race to determine how fast they went through. Maybe a bit more regulations in terms of spare parts, a team mechanic, and each team having their own support vehicle. Also a certified medic(s) for the race lol, one for either every team or one that stays in the middle of the pack that can get to any team pretty quickly. I think this could have some great potential for a big sport. Biking is already incredibly world wide. Would be cool to see this grow.
Fantastic, entertaining, unique, scary and looking like so much fun. Can't wait for part 2
People over Profit
I had no idea this existed. Thanks for showing us, Mike. I can't wait to see the next video!
Lets go new Zealand! Love my little country is in the random sport……bloody kiwis
This is very intense and not what I expected. This should be a summer Oympic event.
That was awesome! Those front forks on the kiwi bike folded up like paper though 😮. Roll on part 2!
