While checking out more routes to ride close to home, I stumbled on a few videos titled “The Best Singletrack in the UK”. Obviously this caught my attention, and I was pleased to discover that the trail from the videos (Rigg Beck) was fairly close to home. I had some doubts as to whether this really was going to be the best in the UK, but I thought there was no better way to find out than to ride it for myself! It was a pretty fun and flowy descent, starting and finishing in similar locations to the Stoneycroft ride from a previous video, but was it the best in the UK? I’ll have to ride a lot more trails to find out… Hope you enjoy!

    1. Another top video dude. That does look fun, those shale single tracks can be haaard 😳 your always waiting for the front wheel too wash out. You rode it well blind. Do you always record in 60fps, your vids are always super smooth. Keep up the good work. Stay safe. 🤙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    2. A few of us rode rigg beck on Tuesday night thought it was a good single track you should of went straight on where you turned off for a bit of technical stuff we finished off and done Barrow fell which was really good

    3. Enjoyed this one. It defintely looked like a good descent, however the best descent is a very competitive category indeed given the wonderful variety across the UK. Speak soon mate 🤙

    4. Another great video, I rode this a couple of weeks ago after coming down Sail and was blind the same as you. I followed your previous video and headed down Stoneycroft last week and I might get some abuse but think I enjoyed that decent better than Rigg Beck although it was a shorter. Keep the great clips coming fella.

    5. Thanks for the great vid! I've been eying this one up for a while now. Its length seems to be the strong point, there's not a whole lot of long single track with no gates in the lakes. Definitely not the best in the UK but maybe the lakes? It could make a good video series.

    6. I'm sure it's fun to ride but it looks like it falls a million miles short of the loops in Torridon which have so much varied types of descent in them, some with huge boulder paths, other are super tight with deep drops on turns etc… The views in Torridon are also spectacular.

Again, not to knock something that does look fun.

    7. Nice natural single-track to ride but not the best i would imagine many better in Wales and Scotland. On par with Minton Batch and Porlock Combe i would say but slightly longer

    8. Great video was looking at this trail after I'd seen a few similar claims. Handy having the Strava link thanks.

    9. Nice one, thanks for this! The Strava link is also super helpful. I'm sure I used to be able to take a gpx from there, is that now a premium feature only?

    10. Really looking forward to checking this route out this year. Just getting back in after a couple years off after a big spill and surgery to fix my bones lmao
My nukey is screaming at me to get out

    11. Well got to say no…its not the best single track in the uk, average on a rating scale but an enjoyable run down nonetheless.
