    Crossed the border to Ukraine! First time cycling across a guarded border. Cycled to a town called Chervonohrad where I had a motel for 13 euros a night. Tomorrow ride to a town called Lviv, where I will take a little break for a few days.

      Oh, it is nice to see you there. I liked to ride my bike the so much. We have been there some years ago, just after the small revolution movement on the maydan in Kiev. Even this town is very nice, but a bit to far in the east. Lviv/Lvow you will like. It's a nice architecture there. Have fun enjoy your first country out of the EU. It's great to the differen things (and by the way you make advertisement for a country how need support in a difficult political situation. So, more cyclists to the east.;-)
      (Romania, Hungary and Slovakia is not far to fill your list)

      I remember when we used to have border crossings like that into Ukraine for every country in Europe. I would hate to see us return to that.

      Hi. Last 2 weeks of August 2017 I cycled north from Mykolaiv back to Poland, (and eventually onto Amsterdam for a ferry back to the UK.) I have to say that I loved Ukraine. The people were great, I loved the food, (even though I'm vegetarian and it was a bit difficult,) and the coutryside fantastic. I wild camped without any problems and used cheap hotels, (which were all clean with good showers. Some of the roads weren't great but hey, if you want to get off the beaten track then you can't expect smooth tarmac every where. I had hoped to be back this year but my plans haven't worked out. Maybe next year.

      Tice , I've been following you from the very beginning of your trips and I'm amazed at how much you've matured , you are gaining life experience that no school could offer you , good luck in your travels and be safe .
