[697] The Belgian province of Limburg tries to further improve recreational cycling by creating cycling attractions. Cycling through Water (#FDHW) and cycling through the Trees (#FDDB) were the first two. More information in the blog post: https://bicycledutch.wordpress.com/?p=16090
> Absolutely perfect. I wish my city, heck, I wish we had ANYTHING like that in all of Norway, just one of those attractions would be an increase of a billion percent in terms of "planning for the bicycle and all that comes with".
You gotta love a country that spawns some of the worlds greatest bike racers, but have a sub group of recreational riders that believe…if you ride slowly on bike paths you'll never have need for skull protection🤣 More hospitals see concussive head injury from this group than any other, due to inexperience, poor bike handling skills, and it's far easier to just keel over and crack ones head on a curb at slow speeds than whilst riding fast! Very amusing🤯
Mark is changing the face of tourism in the Netherlands and in Belgium..I look forward to biking through the trees and the water, though having a swan so close to my face is a bit daunting.
European countries especially western european regions are blessed with beautiful nature and surroundings. The people also keep their country clean and protect the mother nature from illegal activities. Here in my country Malaysia mother nature's are exploited for money, people's civic education is very low, everywhere is trashes. Dirty rivers, dirty walkway, dirty toilets. On contrary our nearest neigbouring country Singapore exceptionally very clean.
I'd love to see the environmental impact study of the "cycle through water" piece – how can fish and the other water animal get across that barrier through the middle of that fish pond?
Thank you Mark for all your videos… I'm watching your riding videos as a relaxing moment before to sleep! I think I'll buy a bicycle soon to live the cycling feeling too… Never own a bicycle before, don't know if I can bicycle… But want to try it anyways at 44 years old! It is never too late. Thanks for the inspirational spirit… Hugs.

No helmets! Why because they are riding safely! There is nothing inherrently dangerous with riding a bike.

Very lovely. Nice cycling for normal casual riders and family riders with children. A pleasant day out of doors to be had and enjoyed.
Loved this video. Greetings from https://youtu.be/1r1p3ldPthg

Cycling through water… mwah, that's nothing…! I walk ON water!
het was niet echt nodig om de geschiedenis van het VKN op te brengen in een video over België. Hoe nostalgisch je dan nog naar ons mag kijken.
I was there few months ago. Love that, but had less time to explore. Maybe next time will have better and longer time 👍
Separate the lake? Do not think is good idea.
Genk!!!!
