We’re back in France! In this video we have a proper road-trip! We travel via some gorgeous French villages and stop over at some of the BEST free motorhome stops we’ve ever been to.
Part one of our Normandy series end on the coast where we cycle around the magnificent cliffs of Étretat.

    ABOUT US:
Welcome! We’re Andre and Lisa. A married South African couple who has been travelling together for almost 20 years, to more than 50 countries. In 2017 we took stock of our life and made the decision to ‘retire early’. We gave up our professional careers and all our personal possessions in order to explore the world as full-time nomads. Over the past two years, we have been travelling through Europe with our 21-year-old Motorhome. Please subscribe to follow along and join us on our adventure!

You can find our blog at www.wewillnomad.com where we post regularly about the destinations we visit, along with travel tips and what we spend on travelling.

    PLEASE REMEMBER:
We make vlogs, not travel guides. We don’t film everything we see or do. Our videos cannot tell every story or show every place we visit. Our videos are merely a short snippet of sometimes a week’s worth of life on the road and it’s intended to show our experience as full-time travelers. As we’re constantly on the move it’s also not always possible to take the time to research every single location. We really appreciate when people offer us advice or make suggestions for our next visit. Please don’t make assumptions or be rude. To us or to each other.

    1. I am the same nice and flat happy cyclist but when it’s up and down not happy at all. Enjoying your vlogs, we also are off to Morocco in our landrover in November

    2. We’re 3 weeks ahead of you. Just came through Normandy (from the UK), spent a week in Brittany and are currently near La Rochelle heading south. We’ve got three video’s up on our site if you’re interested in the route we took?
Not going as far as Morocco on this one, only Spain & Portugal, but we will in the future.
Really interested to follow you for some tips!
      Wayne & Janine ❤

    3. Also a sufferer of occasional anxiety overwhelm. I've been taking a Lion's Mane mushroom supplement for a while now, it takes the edge off days like this one you had. (I sooo felt for you). Maybe give it a try? (If you are not allergic to mushrooms that is).

    4. What a beautiful camperspots 👍 loved the cliffs of Etretat definitely worth a visit. Love your shirt Lisa, looks like you’re a bike girl now 😜. Have a nice time in France you two 👋

    5. Have you notice how your fuel consumption has gone down in France when we came through in Spain we was getting 30 mpg in France it went down to 24 mpg apparently in France the fuel is not that good
      Sorry talking about diesel
Been told put the super in your tank you will get a better mpg

    6. Aww Lisa…once again I admire your vulnerability to share your struggle with irrational fears/anxiety. Me too. You're not alone. So enjoy watching yours and Andre's adventures. Congratulations on 10K subscribers!

    7. Believe it or not, we were just there a few days ago – and in the park up space directly opposite yours. We hadn’t intended to go there but changed our plans on the fly and went north instead. We loved it there.

    8. Millie looks so good, I'm still grieving Irelands exit from the RWC so this was a very welcome video. So, refreshing and uplifting.

      – Your French accents… 🙁 must do better… I'm curious, do you speak Afrikaans ? and if so, did you understand the Dutch when you were in Holland ?

      – In Ireland water is free and very accessible but waste disposal is a nightmare. But, if you want water, come to Ireland !

      – Which watch have you got Andre ? (random, I know)

      – 1.88 per litre for Diesel here in Ireland, last week before the budget I paid 1.82 / liter, which country in Europe in your experience is the cheapest ? Spain I think….

      – I so love France. Even the North of France. I love the countryside and the villages. A lot of Northern France close to Belgium is still very flat like the lowlands, but I still love the cute farmhouses and villages. Its so rich in culture and history.

      – How clever are the French. Now, that's not something I say too often. They provide wonderful Aires so that people use them and some of those people spend EUROs in the local economy. Come on Ireland and the rest of Europe, you know it makes sense.

      – I hate you so much. Ok, I don't but I do envy you. This is exactly what I would love to be doing, but I'm married and I'm not sure that we could be as civil as you guys living in such a small space together. Two motorhomes, maybe that is the answer.

      – Lisa – use the brakes on steep slopes, that is what they are for and you even have an electric motor for the uphill bits. Man up Lisa, how oh how are the Bokkes still in the Rugby…. (ok, I watched the rest of the video and well done Lisa for overcoming your fears)

      – It was quite poignant when that plane flew overhead when you were at the war memorial. Sad to say that we seem to have learnt nothing.

      – I love your choice of music for the drone footage when you guys are cycling back to Millie

      – I was a bit nervous when I saw Lisa cycling towards the cliffs at Etretat. Amazing scenery.

Thanks guys for sharing, safe travelling.

Looking forward to the next video.

    9. Hey there great video thanks for sharing! With your anxiety issues (I’m an Emergency Room nurse) and an on the spot easy help that you can do when anxiety attacks is just simply remember – 4 SECONDS- breath in through your nose taking 4 seconds to do so and gently breath out through your mouth for 4 seconds. I tell patients ‘smell the candle, gently blow out the candle. It may help in the future. 😊👍🌸

    10. France is great for the parking and scenery, I prefer the smaller roads, 150 miles in a day is OK and it's easy to stop for a break. I should think you will rush off south as it's very wintery at the moment 😕 👍👍👍👍

    11. France is looking like a great place for vanlife! Awesome stops … and cute villages… wow only one pastry stop …brava😘🤩😎🩵 thanks for sharing you’re journey as ever 😍

    12. Another cracking film guys x Honest as ever about everything – including irrational fears, which we both get in different aspects of this life. Cycling quite often being mine! (Kevin). THe filming is fun and with such drama over the cliffs. You do look like you are loving France! We were trying to work out on todays big walk, we reckon it's 18 months since we started watching your channel and we've loved following your journey – I know we've said it before, but as we were deciding just HOW we would change our lives, we found your channel and I rushed to Nicky and said "We've found our tribe"! So thank you again! Bon voyage I guess….. K & N ❤️

    13. Lisa – I understand your anxiety cycling down hills. I have to say though, that over time I was more able to cycle downhill on a paved road – the cobbles and unsealed stuff is still quite scary for me . (I have even been known to get off my bike and walk it down the hill !) Hope it gets easier for you. I'm sending lots of bravery from me in Australia to you over there.

    14. The speed limit changes on French roads are mad. We have a Tom Tom camper which alerts when you go 5k over the limit. It can be annoying but is useful to ensure you don’t miss a limit change.
