    1. Someone could come and kick me too.. also I could change Your weather to mine. Winter started early this Year.. damn! Up to 20cm snow predicted to fall upcoming week.. after crispy -13C morning Today it’ll just keeps getting bad to worse. No, I am not a winter person; 6 Months of winter is just way too much!

Should take bike and just go.. only -3C now, but light snow have changed to be a slippery surface. Next group ride expected at May.. Yep, kicks needed!

    2. Well, you’ve motivated me again, Leonard. I’ve been lying on the couch reading and not getting out because it’s cold (3 C) and windy. Sun will set in 20 minutes but I have lights and reflective vest and warm riding gear so no real excuse. Sigh.

So easy just to lie around and stay comfortable (there’s also baked pastries in the house now that keep calling my name).

Ok, am up off the couch now ugh 😄

    3. A "pop up" group sounds fine to me. What wouldn't work for me would be special rules or fees or helmet wear strongarming. Anyway, very little to none for road bike riders around here. I'm always on my own. So that part isn't always what I want. The whole stationary bike business, that must be good too. On the miserable days for cold or snow or rain, I'm relegated to jumping jacks, pushups, barbells, and dog walks.

    4. The hardest thing to do is get out the front door … but … the important thing to always remember is that you can always STOP AND TURN BACK WHENEVER … but you can also set a minimum target to complete … for example, Leonard’s 1km per day ride a couple of years ago … and … what you should find is on MOST days you’ll happily complete 5km without even realising it and even end up enjoying the ride and completing a full distance

    5. You've got to take the cycling opportunities when they arise as life has the way of getting in the way. I had a lazy August, not through apathy but work was mental. I then picked up a weird injury and that wrote off my September. So much cycling opportunities lost!

    6. Nice ride leo , i just changed over my road bike rear tire to my trainer tire so my only choice now is my trusty 30+yr old mountain bike for outings..i agree about how tough getting back on my trainer is too, but slow and steady and ill be back in the swing of things. 🙂👍

    7. I have been on holiday for 3 weeks and also got the flu whilst away
So from Wednesday I am going to have to get back on my bike after a break
I'll remember what you are going through on this video

    8. What has re-energized me again is a new set of tires. I now ride on 26X1.95" Fincci street slick. Most comfortable tire I have ever rode. With your classic British build (like me), I strongly suggest finding a 90's MTB with 26" tires…. and going for a fatter tire ride. Screw the weight.. your out for exercise not time trials anyway. I promise you it will be more comfortable than that road bike with pencil thin tires to rattle your bones with.

    9. I suppose what is important, is what you do today, not what you did not do yesterday. Glad on the day you recorded this you got up and got er done….You are the inspiration for the rest of us.

    10. I needed to see this earlier today. I should’ve kicked myself in the backside too. Our weather in Utah is turning nasty. I’ll be on the basement trainer soon. It’s ok but not like being outside

    11. Well done "Leonardo della Riviera" 😂. That place looks amazing with that coffee shop. Been training on Zwift/Indoor for about 3 weeks now and yesterday we drove outside to complete a challenge. 3-5° Celsius, been sweating a lot and rode quite a bit on the limit for just 36km/700m. That was tough… thought I'd be in a better shape after indoor training, guess I need to step it up in the longer Zone 2 ones. Motivation is a bit "tricky" now during winter 😏

    12. If I can offer some motivation back to you, I've gone from 149kg to 114kg this year. With cycling, improved diet and cycling vlog videos on YouTube (mostly you)! So thank you and let's keep going next year!

    13. love to see something new from you!! And the first thing that you said was " I've been to Croatia!". 😄😄 Big hello from Croatia, hope you will came back!! Cheers!!

    14. Hi Leonard- I'm missing my bike at the moment because I decided to enter a 7 day dry fast (zero water, zero food) on the 11th…It ended last night (all seems to have gone well! Fingers crossed!) and the slow rehydrate/refeed has begun…this will probably take the same time again and need to be wary of overstressing any muscles(until fully rehydrated) which would be a major setback…. I'm going stir crazy without my bike but then again I'm mentally treating it like I've just had 2 weeks in the Med (without the booze lol) with the missus in a place where there's no biking…maybe some time off of it will be good, make me appreciate it more when I get out again, but wondering how much my fitness may have dropped!!! Like you think it'll be gentle Z2 and Zwift when I get back on the saddle….

    15. Why do the gales and rain align with riding days? Yesterday we buckled after ten miles and got home to dry out. Once over my frustration I realised that even a short run was good for the soul. My mates have agreed we can always just do a short run to a nearby cafe when it’s foul, just to lock the routine in place. Something is always better than nothing 🎉🎉
