    Who are Kara and Nate?!
    Watch our documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuFv4iF8wgg&t=1s

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted 😉

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer 🙂

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

    1. We are veg'ns and driving through KS and CO is incredibly distressing for us due to all the cattle feedlots. Just knowing that those poor animals can spend anywhere from a few months to a year in those literal hell holes is gut-wrenching.

If WE think the stench is bad from a distance, imagine being a bovine with a nose so sensitive that it can smell things 5-6 miles away. They cannot escape the putrid stench of the mega feedlot for months on end. Many of these are animals were used to grazing in open lands and then suddenly find themselves in this horrific environment. It must be terrifying for them.

We won't even get into how horrific transport from the farm to the feedlot to the slaughterhouse can be.

Also, as you can see, feedlots provide NO SHADE WHATSEVEVER for those poor animals to hide from the blazing hot sun in the summer. Nor does it provide any shelter whatsoever in winter. When cattle graze in fields with trees, they clearly prefer shade. 🙁 Can you imagine being a BLACK COW standing in the open for months during the heat of summer? Yes, as you can imagine, it BURNS THEIR SKIN.

Many cows are pregnant on arrival and give birth in those conditions and often their delicate calves, who are born into those hellish conditions, become "downers". Downers are often dragged, kicked and prodded, or they are just left to die an agonizingly slow death. Many of the adult cattle on feedlots also become downers. The percentage is actually very high, but it is just par for the course for the beef industry – they simply factor those losses into their bottom line. There is NO SUCH THING AS ANIMAL WELFARE ON A COMMERCIAL FEEDLOT. Anyone who says otherwise is profiting from the industry. They are lying.

The cruelty involved in the cattle industry is beyond imagination. From the time they arrive at the auction (if that is their fate), to the feedlot, to the moment they they take their last agonizing breath at the slaughterhouse, what they suffer is, quite frankly, torture. We wouldn't wish that kind of treatment on our worst enemies, and yet we as humans allow this to happen to such gentle, peaceful, zen-like creatures.

Cattle, like all other animals, respond to kindness. When given the chance, they will love us back. They are known to be very curious. They LOVE music (there are plenty of YT videos showing people playing instruments for a captive cattle audience). Mother cows form EXTREMELY STRONG bonds with their calves. Ask anyone who works at a commercial dairy how long a mother will bellow in distress after her calve is taken from her (over and over and over).

Please, go vegan! Or at the very least, start with going vegetarian! And if you can't do that, cut your meat consumption in half and spare half the number of animals a great deal of unnecessary suffering. Necessity is the mother of invention. If we don't demand their flesh, they won't be bred to suffer and die.

    2. First those 50+ mins went so fast!!

Love your vlogging Kara and Nate… but the video clips from Dusty and Rick and the girls while you were at the YT meeting was just the BEST bit of this vlog😂😊. But there were SO MANY best bits on top! You guys have absolutely AMAZING friends.

    3. I love that you guys went through my state. I was hoping to meet up but didn't realize you already went through. I know the road you rode on like the back of my hand, so when Kara mentioned the poop smell that you can taste i knew exactly where she was.

    4. No matter the series , they could be watching paint dry and I’d still watch Kara and nates videos pls , I love the bike series!!

    5. Time difference in aus in sad we seem to see u last.. pretty plz❤ move us to another time zone so we see when everyone else does😊

    6. Imagine the truck driver is a follower and finds out 2wks later when the video drops those random vans that one time were actually Kara and Nate 😅

    7. If the cold is not for you, all those skiing trips must of been hell !
The ten minute oil change starts after the oil is drained. If you didn’t wait almost 13000 extra miles to do it. Causes complications. And always go to a diesel engine place. Those quick cheap places have their uses, not for a diesel vehicle.
