People think of bike routes as an #urbanism thing, save the odd recreational route in the country. But what if I told you rural Ireland is covered with great bike routes, they’re just hard to find?

    1. Good job! – feels like I'm watching an episode of "Not just bikes" 👍

I was stuck in Mayo for a year during lockdown, for my covid jab I used these roads to cycle 37km each way as of course there was no public transport and only one centre for the entire county. The nice but dim woman at the gate said I was the first person in weeks who had arrived by bike and asked why I didn't drive. When I said I didn't have a car I think a piece inside her brain broke as she just went blank! 😂
