Stage 2 of the 2023 Giro d’Italia is the first opportunity for the sprinters. The 202km route takes place entirely in Abruzzo, starting in Teramo and finishing in San Salvo, with two categorised climbs – Silvi Paese (3.6km at 5.3%) and Ripa Teatina (2.7km at 5.2%). The final 50km follow the Adriatic coast and have the potential for crosswinds.

keep it up….
Big boy was given the lead out and they blocked wind on both sides. His power numbers had to be off the charts.
Milan is an absolute unit
So no one is going to talk about the title of the video??

I swear that Giro pink thingy zipping around the map reminds me of a “swimmer” looking for…. Never mind…. I’ll show myself out… 😂😂

Please stop the first comment seen under the video giving away the result. Thanks.
I've never seen a peloton so closely packed; the final few kms were crazy close
Martijn Tusveld's Scott Foil ssnapped in two in the crash. All that silly contoversy about disc brakes being dangerous meh – but surely snapped 'n' spikey carbon tubes are dangerous in a pile up!?!?
We need more explanation about the crash. It's unfortunate, but possibly pivotal.
Well done by the AUSSIE lads! 👍👍
M 🦘🏏😎
fans taken out in that crash and old lady. no mention of that. she took a hard fall if you notice. in biege with her camera. good to know no riders were hurt. but spectators were
I have to ask who was responsible for the implementation of the barriers at the 4k and 3k to go marks/points in yesterday's Giro stage 2. Are there UCI world tour standards? Who is making the decisions as the event is being set up? I hope municipal politics is not involved? Municipalities pay to be a finishing point in a grand tour. Often finish lines are located in the downtown boutique shopping district. These areas have traffic calming road engineering implemented, such as medians, narrowing lanes, curb extensions, speed bumps, chicanes, rumble strips. One of the terms used is increasing cognitive load to slow drivers down. With the intention of increasing the chance of passenger discomfort or even physical damage to a vehicle if speed limits are not observed (such as speed humps). These downtown areas are designed to prevent vehicles from traveling over 30 kph and then 175 cyclists are asked to race through such areas at 50 to 60 kph. Why not institute standards that make sprint stages safer by using roads that can safely be traveled at 70 kph?
Don’t get the split screen format that has been adopted during race coverage and breakaway, utterly unnecessary and irritating. @gcnracing

WHY THE CLICK BAIT TITLE?!? "Chaos & Controversy In The Finale!" What controversy??!? What Chaos?!? (other then the earlier crash, which was NOT the Finale !)
This Giro is so far Milan’s an’ Remco’s…
Mark CRASHINGdish………..coming to a Tour near you getting other racers banned and kicked out.
I heard over 30 cyclists were disqualified for cheating. They must've been men pretending to be women!!!!
