Was a third pint consumed after? Lovely day for it. I’d be up for a bit of wild camping weather permitting 🤞 When I started Audaxing I made the mistake of concentrating too much on timings and control points and forgot to enjoy the riding and views which is why we do it. I can also recommend trying your hand at night time audaxing. It’s really nice having the roads to yourselves and seeing bike lights strung out in front and behind you. Good luck to you Tom on your first one 👍
Tom – there's a shed load of Audax channels as I'm sure you've noticed. They're of course a mixed bag, but one I found that has some good advice and that might be under your RADAR is a Malaysian audaxer called Adrian Tung. Naturally, Adrian's challenges with the climate are somewhat different to us UK folk but I enjoy his content and he's got some good 'how to' type posts too that are directly applicable to UK audaxing.
