Just like the previous film, this one is also about the beauty and simplicity of bike travel, probing for the drive behind this kind of adventures, and with a wink to the drive behind the lives of the people crossing my path.
The basis of the story into which all this is woven, is my recent 7-week bike journey in June/July 2023 out of Donauwörth, Germany, through a corner of Austria, and on into Czechia and Slovakia. And from there all the way back to Antwerp (3.335 km).
Just like the previous film this one also follows more or less the chronology of the journey, but is not a travel report as such, rather a kaleidoscope of impressions and observations along the road and of interesting encounters with other people.

  1. Excellent video, May I ask what bike you are riding on. I am just curious. thanks and I will look forward to next years video as I watched your last one last year. I am 71 and would love to go with you but I have a bad hip that restricts me.

  2. Thanks for the journey 😊 I will be riding the Tweed Rail Trail, in Northern Rivers, NSW, Australia for my 65yr birthday this October. I have a new ebike, a Bianchi ❤. I have done 1000kms in 6 weeks of training. 😂 hello from here.

  3. Yeaiii!! Another wonderful video Eddie!!Thank you, we do some shorter travels here in Canada but also with camping adventures along the way, on our bicycles of course!! I really enjoyed it fellow rider!! warm hugs from Canada.

  4. Thanks Eddie! This was every bit as good as the last one. At 71 I am still on the bike, though just locally right now – no more than a thousand miles over the course of a year. I have been thinking about a long trip in the United States – next year may be perfect. Thank you for all of the interesting people and your inspiration!

  5. Bravo Eddy!
I'm so glad to see that you published another video. Just as with the previous story, this is inspiring and beautiful at the same time. Thank you for sharing.

  6. Funny I struggle to ride at home in Scotland always finding an excuse not to ride but love being away riding/camping where I have no decisions or distractions . I always go for a few weeks as I'm very slow and head for flattish routes like the Mosel in May/June and southern Italy this October. Funny but I was planning on the Danube next year. I can't think of anything I prefer to do as you return feeling so much healthier. I certainly miss my commute to work but not complaining! Well enjoy.

  7. Imagine my surprise to open YouTube and see your video come up . I so liked your first one so had to sit down and watch this non stop . What a wonderful story teller you are and I always like your interaction with people you meet along the way . Plus us (old people ) can so relate to you . I am now 80 yrs .young and still riding as much as possible , got 2,500 miles so far this year . The one thing I remember from your first video was to take time to make love to Mother Earth and I try every ride . Keep the wheels turning .
