    1. Side roads, and off road is the best place you can ride your bike in Portugal, and the nicest too.
Riding in main national roads is dangerous and not very pleasant. We lack the infrastructure for cycling… And I would not advise you to leave your bike without a chain. Opportunity thieves can be found in any country. Maybe in more desert areas you don't have many bike shops, but usually in mid size cities you have at least 1, in my town I have at least 7.
The best way to ride is on a full suspension and ride in dirt roads.
By law drivers have to leave a 1.5m gap, but not everyone does that. Unfortunately. Ride safe, Cheers

    2. I subscribed bro. I have just started a cycling channel myself and planning on making videos of my future tours. Your videos have been an inspiration. Thank you 🙂

    3. In the U.K cyclists get beaten and your bike would have been robbed .
There is a war going on between car drivers and bikers in the U.K and it gets really violent.
The farmer woke you up not because you were in his property but because to camp like you did there and by the lake it is forbidden .
Only in Iceland and New Zealand there is less crime then in Portugal !
The U.K it is Europe most violent nation !

    4. I live in Portugal (Algarve) there is a huge cycling community here!? Every medium sized town has at least one bike shop if not a couple. There is a lack of respect on the roads especially in the summer, when the roads are really busy (lots of tourists in rental cars)…..however this seems to be a general problem for all cyclists across Europe.

    5. You have to avoid the national roads. Me and my girlfriend use to cycle a tamdem bike 3/4 times a week and the offroad tracks are the best ones. Next time, you have to plan carefully the traject to enjoy more the trip.

    6. It seems like you need to grow a little bit more. When you travel try to avoid expressions like "cheap" What do you know about cost of life there! and do not ridicule other ways of being! It looks like a monologue full of superiority. And please do not use national roads because the speed there is to high. Cycle on secondary roads!
