Cycling through Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina

In the last part of our cycling adventure in East Europe we cycled through Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. From Vinica close to the Slovenian border we needed one stage to arrive at the capital of Croatia – Zagreb. From there we took the Sava ruta which was not fun at first place, but the further we got away from Zagreb, the more beautiful and enjoyable it became. In Slavonski Brod we crossed the border to Bosnia & Herzegovina. We enjoyed the stunning nature of the country and experienced great hospitality from a lot of locals across the country. But also often we had to fight the dense traffic and to overcome some scary moments with stray dogs. After enjoying one of the most beautiful places during our journey – lake Ramsko jezero – we crossed the border near Tomislavgrad to Croatia. We cycled along the Adria coastline and enjoyed some places like Trpanj till we ended our East Europe chapter in the August heat in Dubrovnik.
