Hey Canyon riders,
Has anyone experienced the same issue?
I think a rock flew up and hit my beloved CFR while I was riding, and some of the paint came off.
How did you handle it? Have you tried to restore it somehow? Do you use any bike paint protection or something else?
Thanks!

Well, you forget it’s there and then keep riding.
And in other news, water is still wet.
A mint condition bike has no soul. Ride.
Same thing happened to me when my derailleur snapped, I just forget it’s there and keep riding. Bike shop says it’s not affecting the frame.
I call it “war wounds”. it won’t be the last. Ride the hell out of the bike
Personally I’d chose to wrap a carbon bike, invisiframe or ridewrap whatever tickles your pickle.
As it is I have a ally bike so A couple of pots of touch up paint and some wtb protection tape.
Along with the preapplied protection bits by specialized on the chainstay and downtube this keeps my risky bits a tad more covered and the paint lets me patch up particularly egregious gauges.
Maybe it’s the whole dirt poor thing but I’ll do my best to keep things looking good and lasting, it’s not like I’m not riding the shit out of it and it’s developing a delightful patina all its own.
So that’s what id’ be doing, dapple of touch up paint after making sure the carbon hasn’t been compromised and if this is likely to happen again from traffic passing on your left mayhaps a wee bit of protection tape will give you peace of mind.
Already $100000 💸
I injured my bike putting the rear wheel on, on the underside of the chainstay near the dropout, shit happens.
