I recently bought a bike and have been riding in dry conditions. I wanted to start learning maintenance and chain lube + degreasing and checked in with my LBS and they suggested this: Finish Line 1 step Cleaner and Lubricant. There were language issues between us(as I am new to the country) so I couldn't quite understand a lot of what they explained about the usage. I could not find any videos for this particular product on how to use it. I would appreciate if someone can share a how to.
Also if there's a recommended list of things one should do after a ride? I feel anxious to try it fearing if I did something wrong and also feel overwhelmed with all the information that's available online. Lot of content on How-to's but not much of when to's so even if I watch the videos I'm not entirely sure when I would do it. And this deters me from riding in wet conditions too as I don't want to damage the components by not taking care of them properly or not lubing the chain properly or not knowing when to wash the chain before my next ride (I'm not looking at waxing my chain as that seems to be more can of worms for me and I'd like to take it one step at a time)
So far I just do a simple wipe down of the bike after I ride. And I would really appreciate if someone can help me out with like a step by step thing to do. Even a simple: when you are done with your ride, follow this video. If it was wet, follow this video. Because the bike is new there are no issues so if/when I had issues, I could search specific to the issue and go from there but I'm not there yet.
