It’s even more offensive that they didn’t lock up either wheel.

So what did he say when he found the flat tires?

Just a little note that said: parallel parking like this is very very likely to get your bike vandalized. Just saying!

Blame the rack manufacturer and the place that decided to install that useless rack. While this set up sucks for you, that is arguably the best way to lock to that rack, if they had chosen to actually lock up correctly to protect their wheels as well as frame.

And on the smallest cog too.
These China-Fatbikes are always used the same way.

Pull up parallel and lock on top of him.

Wouldn’t that frame be more likely to be HER overgrown big girl ebike?
Also, I don’t see your problem. If they parked on one whole side of the rack, you still have the entire other side to lock your bike to.

Yeah they probably could’ve done a better job but I’ve been there, especially with an e-bike that’s literally the most expensive thing I own, if I need to use a rack “wrong” to get all three locks in I’m gonna do it lol. I hate these *bike parking shame* post cause we’re all dealing with shitty infrastructure, it’s just kinda shitty to be bike parking police.
Cyclists (esp the lyrca weekend warrior suburbs guys) get so weird about ebikes and I hate seeing that shit on here. There are particular shops I just totally avoid because I’ve literally heard other bikers in the shop casually point at an e-bike and say “that’s not a bike”, it’s just a great way to totally alienate *other cyclists* joining the community.
Sorry for that rant! Just kinda tired of how people act when you post any type of ebike on here.

hate these kind of racks if you have a carbon framed bike. It just screams, F’up my frame please. How about a dipping them in that plastic-dip stuff before installing.
If I have one of my steel framed surly bikes, ok fine, they look like shit anyway.

Most of these new ebikers have not yet learned etiquette.

Happy they’re not driving though
