Some of you may have seen my first build with this frame, a brakeless fixxie with the lead oxide paint, some modern alu wheels with gravel tyres…
I wasn’t happy with it and can’t ride fixed gear for shit. Both my skids, and I, suck.
This is the next go at this 1956 Dawes, still budget af but I’m liking it. Bare metal, murdered out. And most importantly a freewheel and brakes.

    Gorgeous 👍 …hard to believe it’s the same bike! Did you clear-coat it or is it still raw? …just wondering if your worried about rust..

  2. Cool bike! But I’m here because of the bare metal look 👀 I‘m in the process of saving an old lugged trek 930. stripped the paint ant the next step is gun blue and varnish. Any tips maybe?
