Can I stick with my 1.5mm brass washer solution, even though I’m basically maxed out on micro adjustments? Should I buy a replacement derailleur bolt, cut a tiny amount off and run it through a fine threaded M10 die?

File down the bolt.

Not familiar with that specific derailleur, but if it’s removable, you might be able to fit an appropriately sized washer on the outside side of the b bolt rather than between the mech and the frame.

Is the hanger thickness not fairly standard? I have a few laying around so I measured them, and they are all between 7 mm and 8 mm.
In your photograph it looks maybe a tiny bit thinner, but not much. Did you measure it?
In any case, I don’t see any harm in using a washer. I’d rather stick to that solution rather than go through the trouble of modifying the derailer.
