The number of speeds doesn’t really matter if it says 7,8 or 9 because they use the same size chain. The shifter decides what speed (how many gears your derailleur will move to) it is.
I would change the cable and housing at the same time to have nice smooth shifting
This is an easy job at your local bike shop. They might even let you watch to learn so you can fix it yourself next time

Need a new rear derailer. Might be worth getting a new chain in the process since it will be disassembled.

Upgrade from whatever you have, mine is in the shop waiting on a new upgraded rear currently.
Replace
The derailleur is too bent to be fixed by bending it back.
Replace it with another Shimano derailleur.
