Screw what other people think. You do you! What groupo and wheels do you plan to use?

I have a Chinese carbon full sus mtb with carbon wheels, carbon integrated stem/bars, and carbon seat. I put a bafang ebike conversion kit on it (heavy motor and battery) and even with the extra weight on the frame it’s running like a champ 2 years and thousands of trail miles later.
Lots of others have similar positive experiences.

I have nothing against Chinese brands considering I am a huge proponent of direct to consumer Chinese wheels and love Winspace frames BUT that’s a $1K frame before shipping so not dirt cheap and considering you can get an actual UCI legal frame that has good support from Winspace for a bit more or for the same price on like a Black Friday special I see zero need to buy a Tideace
I got my T1550 1st gen for $1300 shipped a while back. I’d gladly pay $300 more for a legitimate frame and the fact that Winspace stocks replacement parts like forks and seatposts and other small parts and they ship asap.

I have a Chinese carbon gravel frame from ICAN that’s been flawless, I think lots of these companies are making great frames.

As long as you do some research on the Chinese brands you buy, you’ll be fine!
