Unoriginal Older Zac 19 rim. Front of the bike is equipped with a cheap Chinese 700 that fits fine. The rear Zac is too big. What’s going on here?

  1. Different forks have different clearance, hence there are short, medium, and long reach caliper brakes. Perhaps you have a fork / caliper length mismatch.

  2. If it’s the right size wheel for the bike, then it’s the wrong reach caliper for the bike. Measure from the center of the caliper mounting bolt to the center of the rim, that’s the correct reach for your frame.
