I’ve got a talon 2 but with the 27.5 tires and I love it. A really good starting hardtail in my opinion. I have a trance now but I opted to keep my talon around because I like it so much. My coworker also has a talon 2 29er and loves it. As for the price, to me it seems reasonable but I don’t know too much about bike pricing.

Just make sure it shifts good and works. Would be a great bike to get you on the trails

Talons are great for entry on green and some blue level trails, over that they’re getting out of their depth but a great place to begin for sure.
