Hi (pic from Pinterest). I have a roadbike and i kinda want to change it to bullhorns instead of drop bars. Could i add thumb shifters and brakes to a cinelli bullbar? Or am i just being silly?

    in theory, yes.

    options:

    * [SHIMANO Thumbies – Paul Component Engineering](https://www.paulcomp.com/shop/components/drivetrain/shifting/shimanothumbies/) make sure you match them to the bar diameter similar to that brake.
    * Aero bar thumb shifters

    I ran that setup for a while when i retired my cyclocross bike

    Was it fast? yeah. do i wish i could go into the drops more ? yup.

  2. You could add a mountain bike thumb shifter on the bar, immediately to the right of the stem. I’ve done this with a 1×12 sram eagle cassette and derailleur and it worked great.
