Neighbor was throwing this out, looking to fix it up for my son. First thing is it needs new tires and tubes. Current tires are 700×35. Can I put anything fatter on this?
Not looking to go super fat, just something that can handle a little mud and occasional gravel, etc.
If you upload some pictures of the tire clearance on the front fork and rear tubes I can give you a better answer, but I have a Multitrack 750 (a few years older) and it would comfortably fit 40’s

Take a 5 mm allen key. If you can fit it between all areas where the frame/brakes/tires touch, then yes, you can go 2-3 mm bigger for roads, but if you’re wanting to do mud and gravel, you might be asking for trouble. I’d want to make sure it’s at least 5 mm of clearance for that use case, and preferably more.Â
