Alec B. is such a gentleman and his parents are such lovely people. Concerning BMX vs. Mountain bikes at pump track it depends on the track. I raced straight rhythm at Bentonville Bikefest and Alec won on an MTB., overall the MTB riders crushed the BMX riders., then there is the Red Bull Pump track racing where MTB is still king.
