I have one and love it. Not the discy one – rim brake. Weighs 8kg exact with pedals & 50mm carbon wheels alu bars, stem, post & 10 speed mechanical ( which i had spare from years back) it cost 3000 euro total ( but the gruppo was no cost). I look at frame price as build to my spec. Allez sprint frames are more expensive. And disc only. So the kreissäge ( however it is pronounced) is a great option for those of us who still like mechanical rim brake bikes and also want an alu frame
i knew of standert when they just made fixies. donno when/how they became iykyk socmed darlings
this review still doesn't explain it, other than a decent bike that may be a little overpriced/hyped
Presumably it would be quite comfortable with 32mm tyres at 60psi?
0:18 Jamie, trust me, you can go faster. Just clean your shoes!
0:53 Eh! Jamie, EVERYTHING ends up in the Oxford English Dictionary . . . the world's BEST!
Gen Z refer TO OED for their own education!
Dont bully the berlin hippsters so much.
Personally i dont understand why anyone would pay for this when there is a boatload of older frames out there that have often similar or superior craftmanship.
Scott were making scandium frames in 2003
27.2mm seatpost, less faff headset, what’s not to love!?
Here’s a but of a GenZ lingo for you: This video is Hella Cringe
Great vid. Really enjoyed the vibe check
To be fair, I've had a rim-brake Kreissäge for about 4 years now and it slaps. Haven't seen another in the SW either so it turns heads too.
thats too much money for an aluminium bike and 8,3kg…
Oh no, the road cc kiss of death. Fun video though lol. Although you're a bit too young for the boomer jokes about Gen Z to really land lol.
😂😂😂
I would relook at the geometry if I were you.. It's more aggressive than 99.9% of the racing bikes the market. The angles are steeper than the Allez Sprint, Cannondale CAAD12, 13, Factor Ostro VAM, Tarmac SL8, Colnago V4Rs… The Chainstain and wheelbase are equal or shorter…
Standert was cool 5 years ago. Now they be cashing out the genZ noobs.
For that price… Thats a NOPE.. alloy and overpriced. Just get a SL7 at this point. Lmao
Very interesting, because I have been very interested in it, till i habe been at the store and wrote one in Berlin. It is still an amazing looking bike but what i recognized immediately it is so stiff and then if i think about money and weight. 3 points i said i will go for something else but it is the hottest girl in the club…
Nice bikes. Can't wait to buy a Canyon.
my custom built true temper fane is lighter and cheaper and more customer than this at 8kg and it is cable-disc. so nah
That bike is no diggity
5000 €€ for a steel bike ?? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kai (as in sky) – sega (as in sega)
Standert bikes are so much more expensive than their counterparts. Perhaps Insta/Gen Z is their target audience, but what a missed opportunity to scale by offering genuine value for money and taking on Trek, Specialized, and Giant.
Is it pronounced as "Christ, A Gay?"
Nice and honest review.
Given that you also have an Allez Sprint, would you mind giving us a depth comparison and conclusion which one would you choose?
I am honestly waiting for that comparison since I am deciding between those two.
Thanks.
"Kreissäge" is circular saw.
This is the only bike with disc brakes I find interesting. Saw couple of them on Stelvio last year. The colours on these are lovely.
This will be interesting to watch. Almost every person I have talked to who has owned one of these have GOTTEN RIDE OF THE BIKE QUICKLY and said that it felt dull, dead, sluggish – AND really stiff… – not the way you'd hope a good aluminum frame will feel.
Now in the UK For 4k you can have tarmac sl8😮 on rival with carbon wheels

Currently selling one of these because im switching to gravel. Its really hard to compare this bike to anything else really. The main selling point for me was the aesthetic. Standert is the ONLY brand in europe that consistently puts out the most gorgeous bike colors. Most of us arent racers so having a bike thats beautiful with very nice decals is in my eyes better than having an ugly bike thats faster. Its sort of like having a restomod Porsche: overpriced, kinda slow but at the same time you love to ride it because the beauty of it motivates you to ride it more. Lovely bike, if i have enough money down the line to own two bikes, I would happily buy another Kreissage just because it isnt always about having the best spec or fastest bike, sometimes you just want to own something beautiful.
Not really sure what most of those words mean as I pride myself on being properly educated. As an older rider in my 50’s I like the looks a lot with the exception of that cat decal.
The bike looks great, but for the price, I wouldn't consider alloy frame.
Let’s all get White socks and White Helmets, who gives a frag ?
