EXPLORING NOIRMOUTIER ISLAND.
It’s a glorious day, so we jump on the bikes, and head out to explore the island. It’s a lot of cycling, but we thoroughly enjoy the experience. Riding around the island is a joy, with safe, well marked out cycle routes and pathways. We follow our first cycle route following the coast line and the glorious beaches, to the very busy ‘Port De Plaisance De L’Herbaudière’. We then take an inland route through nature reserves and salt flats, until we reach more glorious beaches, before heading over the cycle jetty that leads straight into Noirmoutier town. A lovely ‘seaside’ feel town, with bars, restauraunts and shops to suit all tastes.
We then head to the Southern part of the Island, past the busy ‘central road’ area, and onto ‘Le Site Du Gois’, where we get the timing completely wrong..and fail to see the famous submirsible roadway between the Isand and the mainland…but we’ll know better next time!!
It’s a great Island, and we’ll definitely be back to see more of what the Island has to offer in the future!

Love the cycling tours! 😁
Nice Beaches, but to be expected that there would be a lot of them, as you are on an island lol. Take care folks and safe travels xx
