Lenin, Through His Letters

I wanted to finish and upload this on the centenary of Lenin’s death, but I finished it too late and watched that date pass by in absolute agony. Instead, I have uploaded it on the 107th anniversary of the revolution itself.

The Letters of Lenin, Edited by Elizabeth Hill and Doris Mudie (1937)
There was originally going to be a section of the video where I discussed whether this source was reliable, but it was too long and dry. The conclusion was “Yes, mostly”. Let me know if you want to know more about this. Also, much of the history of Lenin’s life was taken from summaries given in that same book.

Note – I extended some of these photos with photoshop AI. The photos themselves were not edited, but if the photos did not fit the 1920×1080 aspect ratio, and had big white bars on either side of them, I generated stuff to fill that white space. If I had not done this, the video would have looked like a powerpoint presentation.

there are other videos claiming to have clips of Lenin speaking, but most of them come from propaganda movies, so the audio is of some Soviet actor, not Lenin. This one appears (to my totally untrained ears) to be a real speech by Lenin.
