We all know the train is the best way to travel straight to the heart of a city, but what’s the quickest way to get to or from an LNER station? We’ve teamed up with @TyneandWearMetro1980 and challenged ourselves to find out.
Team Car will be driving, Team Bike will be cycling, and Team Metro will be heading underground. Will everyone make it in time for a lunch reservation at @fathippofood3708 to enjoy some phenomenal food?
Follow along in real time as our Social Media Team tackles another race exploring multi-model travel.

This is interesting reminds me of Top Gear, great
Ya need a race from Peterborough Station to the big tesco at Serpentine geen, Bike vs car Vs Bus (plusbus ticket upsell opertunity) at least Xander would be happy with Tesco 😅😅😅😅, that or something to tie to the Nene Valley Railway,
Reply if you can think of another challenge for the social team to take on 👇
Hey do one Where you underline the comfort of terminating at King’s Cross at London, i love that when talking of LNER, loving too the snacks!
Anyone else find it funny how the Metro people were panting after the short walk, while the cyclist didn't appear out of breath at all.
That cyclist clearly has some stamina
Far too long a vid for a short race.
I was on that train that day!! With our favourite Metro driver. Team Metro for the win!!! 🌟👑
I know that you guys probably wont reply but can i please know the date you guys filmed this? Because I think I was at the station trainspotting same time as the people in vid.
train race
They didn't trust xander to take metro because he might have forgotten to get off 😅
Great video guys. Really enjoyed that one! I was cheering for metro from the start but that cyclist is really fit whereas the metro guys stuggled a little!
I do like these Top Gear style races. 🙂
Maybe you could do race across York, London, Edinburgh, Inverness, Sunderland and Leeds.
