  1. Think what you will, but whoever runs a bike shop and turns down a customer out of spite for having a canyon is an idiot and should go out of business.

  2. Used mywhoosh last winter for 4 or 5 months. Didn’t have many issues. Sometimes took ages to update. For free it was really good. Lots of training programmes. Can make your own custom ones too which is how I used it. Just needed it for that. Didn’t race. If you’re an anti social person looking for training only it’s grand.
    Defo sportswashing but it’s free!

  3. I run hookless on my road bike, knew the info (your right, initially confusing) -but did not think about if I ever need to us a cartridge – good point.

  4. I have no issues with the audio, it sounds fine, almost natural. I use Rouvy but only because I got a good promotional offer which means I'm paying a fraction of what it would cost for Zwift. Hookless seems to be ok, but there's too many opportunities for people to get it wrong or make bad choices with tyre widths, pressures, and other considerations, and evidently even the manufacturers and bike shops seem to not understand what they're selling.

  5. Would love you guys to explore more about the red bull sponsorship you mentioned in this episode, especially for the DH mountainbike riders and the free riders. Their careers are so short and is it a worry that they have to keep taking riding to another to get that sponsorship cash, which could smash them to bits with injuries.

  6. My whoosh has been around a quite a while now and has changed allot over the last 12 months. Haven’t you seen the logo on UAE cycle tops I.e Podg ! Works well I haven’t had any issues

  7. I have a question for Jimmy, why are all bib shorts for small torso people? I am only 5:10 but as I have short legs and a longer body I can’t get bibs were the straps aren’t digging into my shoulders, even if I try to size up it makes little to no difference. I don’t know what to do at this stage as most of the gear is online, expensive and just gets annoying sending them back only for the bigger size to make no difference. Please help me. Maybe make one for me 😂

  8. Vigilantes used to lynch the bad guys from trees didn't they ? Haven't seen any dangerous drivers swinging from lamp posts round my way . Anyhoo i'm fucking ancient and I'm sure cycling now feels – to me at least – less dodgy than it used to even just a few years ago and and a lot less dodgy than the 1970's/80's when there were no cameras anywhere.

  9. Jimmy: “Don’t buy hookless!”
Also Jimmy: “Are my road wheels hookless?”
    Francis: “Yes”

Prime example of not understanding hookless rims.

  10. On the CyclingMikey point and phones im just trying to balanced as im a bit sick of the cyclist vs driver battle so…
Is cycling and vlogging 1 handed legal (honest question)l? Do you see cyclists with running reds or riding in dark without lights getting fines often?
I'm sure most of us drive as well and getting pinged for checking traffic etc on my phone while in stationary traffic won't endear me to us 2 wheel folk.

  11. 55:02 Wouldn’t this be the same issue if you bought a Giant and went to a store that didn’t sell Giants to get your bike fixed..? I never understand this argument. I have a Canyon but I’m lucky enough that in Melbourne there is a Canyon services centre. Although I would happily take my bike to a good bike shop if they didn’t have the attitude as Nick…

  12. I enjoy seeing folks buy $10k aero bikes, upgraded deeper section wheels, then show up at the group ride in a baggy jersey without any irony.

  13. @42 minutes, that was my video, (and it's back up) and the exact cause has yet to be determined, but clearly the safety factor is way too narrow, and yes, extremely easy for a hungover cyclist to go 10psi over the max in the morning. Blowout does not always occur immediately. In my case the first one took 90 seconds. (Static conditions).

  14. I design and manufacture toys for living and there is absolutely no way we would be able to sell toys with the wrong safety warning on them. I truthfully don’t know how there getting away with it as the governing bodies are shit hot on it. And jimmy high lights perfectly the “clueless” punter. On a side note always thought your not meant to run tubes in hookless wheel?

  15. I have bought half a dozen new bikes over the past 15 years. Instructions and warnings from bike shops has been minimal. I would not assume anything about bike shops instructing customers about max air pressure for their hookless wheels. I would be willing to bet that as of today, many shops do not even know there is an issue with hookless road wheels.

  16. I think bike shops getting sniffy about servicing bikes bought on line need to get over it. If you look at the car industry, local garages repair cars they didn’t sell all the time. I’m afraid the genie is out of the bottle ref online bike sales. We need to adapt to the new reality.
