When I was young it was papa when older. It became pa. Yes it means daddy – dad. Biking, that's why also kids happy and not obese.

i taught my kids to ride a bike when they were 4 years old, i myself was a late learner with my 5 years…😉😂
"Dad" is "pap" in Dutch, which incidentily is also the word for "porridge". Don't ask me why.

the same as the others. My kids cycled with 4 years old, and when we are young we say papa to dad and later when we are older pa.
When I was young (so much younger as today. [sorry couldn't leave that pun out]), it was younger when we started riding our bikes. Kindergarten we rode to with parents, but on our bike. So, that would have been at age of around 4 years old. Basically when you can ride a bike without support wheels.
I know there was another 4 day bike tour, they did. Something like going the direction the wind blows. Maybe good to review that one as well. Gives you another view of the country.
To answer your question, most children use the word papa, just pronounced slightly different over here. When around the teenage years it usually changes a bit, mainly shortened to pa or pap. This depends a bit on your environment I think.
