They didn't use a cutting disc. They used a regular grinding disc. The cut grove is too wide, so it's a grinding disc. A cutting disc is way smaller in diameter

At some point you should know that you should have cut the pipe that the lock was on
That 'cut' is the result of a grinding disk (6mm generally) and 'several' disks of any kind would for over an hour would COVER the floor and wall with grinding spray. I'd bet my engineering, welding and fabrication company that with a 1mm cutting disk in a normal battery grinder I could cut through this crappy lock in around 10 seconds.
