This is the ride of the day and can recommend if you want to try the Dales:

There are two steep sections – at the very start of the ride out of Settle and also around 46km which is the back of Fleet Moss. Don’t worry it’s not as steep as Fleet Moss 🙂

I'd like to… my problem is watering eyes when the temperature drops too much, and it doesn't even have to get cold cold. I even got the biggest shield glasses I can get, helps a bit, but not enough…
Katie, I am in Swaledale right now with my husband, we came down from Scotland a few days ago.
Basically we are here because of you! You inspired me to come here bring the bikes get out and it’s been absolutely fantastic, just like you, I love the hills, climbing, rock, sheep et cetera! Not only have you inspired me to come here over the last couple of months since I discovered you I have acquired some bags for my frame and also on Vinted I managed to get the Patagonia lightweight puffer jacket (I got a good deal on a bright yellow one, which I love for high visibility). I absolutely love that jacket. It’s everything that you said it is! Your inspiration has been a big deal for me because I’m in my 50s and I’m coming out of a very long bad patch with health, and haven’t cycled regularly for many years. Thank you so much Katie!!! 😃🤗
I always enjoy watching your videos so much! Almost as good as riding myself! Thanks for all the vibes and great scenery ! 🙏❤️
No one loves cycling like you do, Katie. You are a smile machine!
Belted Galloway is the cow. Love love love them!
My Favourite place to ride is Dentdale, which isn't far away from Ribble head.
The Dales are my happy place too!! Love your content, thank you!
Nice to see some sheep on your ride
Shop around for some good thermal base layers mine are a 1/4 zip full sleeve, i got them from sports soccer they are not cycling specific thus they are far cheaper than Raffa, Castelli or Assos.
Come to Tucson, Arizona! Our riding season starts in the winter 😁🌵💖 and it's gorgeous!!
Funny that you "feature" the Yorkshire Dales like it's a human guest — an old friend
You mentioned your yoga classes … have you tried pilates, as well? Also, where would I go in the winter? Right here where I live in the SF Bay Area (heh, "winter").
Australia 🤩 great video Katie with some great tips. I need to do this and get back to the dales ❤
If I had beautiful (no cars) roads like that to ride on, I'd be out every day! Such gorgeous views!
In the UK nowadays, this is 12months of the year advice.
Love the Dales too Katie. Especially the roads near Kettlewell.😊❤
Katie, I grew up in Essex, north of London and have lived in Montreal & now Toronto most of my life. I suggest you fly to Clermont, Florida for the winter and enjoy rolling hills as I do post retirement. I drive down and rent for Jan, Feb and Mar. Central Florida is hilly, warm and green. Yes, hilly. I have 100 km rides with 800+ m of climbing. I love my bike as much as you and I ain't stopping what I love and can still do at age 80. I will be in Mallorca next Sept 25 with a group of 50 cycling friends. BTW I met two chaps from Manchester last year that spend cycling time each winter in this area of Florida. You can, also. hook up with the Florida Freewheelers, a local bike club.
❤
Sheep's 'coat' = fleece? 🐑
Kent Classic at the weekend. Don't recall seeing many sheepies but a few good rocks, at least.
Haha, lol nowadays I also go Hi Sheepies !, I bet our local Dutch sheep don't understand (we usually call them Schaap)
