The France Tour rolls on, and we drive to the dazzling Loire Valley, where we park our van near the majestic Chateau Villandry.

This valley is a treasure chest of chateaus and sights, and Chateau Villandry has a garden that’ll make you rethink your own backyard. It is VAST and utterly beautiful. Plus, we scored some ‘free’ nighttime entertainment-who needs Netflix?

The @camping-carpark8762 app came through again, after a brief hiccup in the entry saga, so hats off to them for sorting it out during their network-wide drama. The spot is primo, right on the Loire Vélo cycle path, and those flat pitches? Chef’s kiss! Sure, it may lack the sprawling charm of a campsite, but for a night, it’s just what the travel doctor ordered. We really rate these camping car parks.

Supermarkets? Not a biggie, but manoeuvring our motorhome through some of the French villages was a bit like playing Tetris. We did manage to find one and decided to do a quick price showdown on some staples-let us know your thoughts!

  1. Love watching your videos so much! If she hasn't been, see if Kelly can get tested for Celiac disease. I've had low iron and anaemia for over 20 years, and they tested me for coeliac 2 years ago and found it to be the cause of my anaemia! Strange, but it could help her ❤
