WHAM! popstar turned cyclist Andrew Ridgeley takes Matt Stephens on a stunning tour of Cornwall in this delightful episode of the Sigma Sports Café Ride.

Both men have a love of music stretching back to the heyday of vinyl, and after a quick stop at a record shop, it was time to embark on Andrew’s gruelling route with plenty of hills to test the legs.

But when the sun shines on a summer’s day, the rewards are certainly worth it. With stops for selfies along the beautiful Cornish coastline, a beachside coffee stop and fish and chips by the harbour wall, this could well be the perfect summer training ride.

  1. Everyone of these that I watch, I end up saying the same thing …. Absolutely excellent, yet again
How nice a guy is Andrew Ridgeley as well ? And how good a cyclist too.
    Brilliant

  2. As always, the interviews are phenomenal, and the visual storytelling with the video and production are spot on. One of the best programs on streaming television right now.

  3. Didn’t get the chance to chat with either Matt or Andrew in Ibiza , but the fact he loves Watergate bay would definitely have been a talking point. Hope you’ll both be there next year Joyriding

  4. Brilliant! Just when you think Matt can’t top the previous Cafe Ride episode he pulls another one out of the top drawer. Andrew was a great ‘ride companion’, very engaging. He also looks in great shape – literally dancing on the pedals up the climbs. I really enjoyed that.
Hope your recovery is going well Matt.

  5. This was a fabulous film, the warmth of Matt’s personality shines through. A really lovely interview between two great people. Two passionate humans talking about bikes and music ❤

  6. What a pile of woke shite , George Michael was a great singer who had so much talent , but he was also a sexual deviant who hung around Mens toilets and was using drugs .Ridgeley didn’t see Michael for many years and he was never on the same musical level as George Michael, then he turned up in the media when George died. Matt Stephen’s came across as a grovelling sycophantic fanboy in this episode, it was pretty awful to watch .

  7. It was the Sony Walkman that transformed pop music as people could turn their favourite tracks or mix tapes into the soundtracks of their lives. Wham timed it beautifully for that era of music portability and feel good 80's vibe. Great video and top album choices
