You do make a good point regarding not needing a gravel bike, simply change the tyres on a road bike (size permitting). I have the Ribble CGR ALe, same power unit as yours, my tyres are set up for gravel, 700c x 38mm but if I wanted to make it a road bike I could swap the tyres. You have highlighted that it is worth adapting what you have rather than spending a fortune makes sense and still end up riding with a smile.
