Great video! …..Yorkshire is made for cycling 😁
🤫🙃 methinks the "reason" you had all these problems was b/c your bikes knew you didn't want to ride the whole ~3000 meters. You two are too funny.
One of the nefarious limiting factors with rim brakes not actually the brakes but, rather, the braking surface on carbon rims—that's just a bad combination. With the right wheels, dual pivot rim brakes work great, even at Shimano 105 level.
I agree with you, Katie is wrong about rim brakes.
I agree with Katie, some things are meant to be and may have prevented you from crossing a nasty unknown.
Seeing that car coming around the bend, and you two on the left side of the road, messed with me. American viewer, here.
The cameras and filters must be a special interest.
You two make good videos together. I'll be looking forward to you two riding those hills you missed out on this time. Or, anytime before then.
Great video!! Lovely places…. but I was also expecting to see the beers at the pub 😅
Katie was so nice and patient with all of your issues. Looked like you both had a good time despite the problems.
J have you ever had a ride free of "faff" ? 🙂
Bless Katie
What was that track by Eletronic ?
🎵 Patience of a Saint 🎵
Yorky Dales beautiful, but if there's a b…rd headwind blowing, exposed Central 🙂
Have a great day
☀️
M o r n i n g !
Feel sorry for camera filter guy, nowt wrong with being friendly
Mechanical ftw!
Miles of smiles. 7:32 captures the moment. You two are such a giggle especially when you are in the same video and riding together.
あなたが放つ明るいオーラとエナジーが好きです😊
14:00
😄
These two girls together is always fun. Very beautiful environment.
I love the disc brakes on my gravel bike 😉
Two stunners
I Miss the dales
great video you and katie work well together 🙂
What are you two on?🤣😂Love it.
Mint ride 👌 love watching you too ❤xx
So beautiful landscape and roads
Only mechanical shifting ever for me.
I'm 5 minutes into the video and I've discovered the definition of "faffing around"! I love watching the both of you together!
Lovely countryside and two lovely women to narrate the trip. A few thoughts: I'd go with the rim brakes any day. The camera-filter guy reminds me of the Monty Python skit of the touring cyclist droning on about how he protects his cucumber sandwiches in case of a crash. Juliet; have you considered using a stick to mount the camera? Leonard M Lee has some useful tips on filming while riding. He's a cameraman by trade I think.
Only 16 mins and 20 seconds of this, it's just not enough, we all need more. Such fun to watch you both. 😊
SRAM Rival 22 FTW on my road bike. Mechanical shifting and tubes rule. 🙂 Beautiful ride, glad you could have fun!
Nice video girls, where did you get your glasses from Juliet? Are the clear lenses prescription?
Disc brakes are by far superior to rim brakes for many reasons. I have one bike I use for everything. It’s a gravel bike with endurance road geometry. Handles well on or off the road. Unless you’re road racing, one by with 11, 12, or 13 speed is adequate. With an 11-42 cassette and a 40 tooth front chain ring it handles almost all situations. The 40×42 low gear is lower than most two by systems. I’m spun out at 30mph on the high gear. Gravel bikes are really the Swiss Army knives of bicycles. I have two sets of wheels, one for the road and one for gravel.
Are you still friends with the woman you were friends with in ealier videos
Sometimes when you fit larger diameter more tooth cassettes, you may need a derailleur extender piece otherwise when in lowest gear ratio theres insufficient clerence for the upper derailleur idler sprocket 😊👍
Oh such fun seeing you both interact, love it. Those views are epic, no denying that! I do have to agree with Katie, I'm "save the rim brake" all the way 🙂
Hope you stopped to take in Scaleber Force Waterfall?
Only thing I am going to say : yes!
You two should really fly away togheter and attempt one of those ride across series of hers Katie;
I would suggest an outlandish destination, Italy is exotic enough, maybe the southern region of Bavaria in Germany might do; certainly, riding across Switzerland would really be marvellous and mysterious too!
Indeed, I can see why the Dales lend themselves to cycling, wide open, fierce and untamed, with little if any traffic and smoothly run pavement that twists and turns among the peaks and the valleys;
A shout to freedom and bravery.
No better feeling of dismounting your bikes and heading for a warm, cosy night after so much faff and labour.
Privileged to see you two content and cheerful togheter !
😁 😄 👏🤞 👋 = ]
I’m with you Katie, manual shifters and rim brakes. Why fix something that’s not broken, simple can be repaired in the field as it where. Love you two doing rides together, when are you coming to the North Yorkshire moors. For one of your epic rides have you thought of Switzerland.
Keep up the good work you two .
lol i love the storrytelling just with the slow fade when talking about meeting the camera guy 😀
You two could be sisters.
8:22 jeez how beautiful! Id probably ride a bit weepy with some Vaughan Williams or Dvorak in my ears
Remember, Juliette, if you've promised to give the Dales a 'go' next year, that means you can't sabotage your bike a second time around! Bill O'
I need those flippy sunnies!! 😎
You two make my day brighter! ❤
