The Spot Ryve 115 seems like a good deal and some of the industry reviews make it sound like a bike that would work for me. I’ve got a lot of years on bikes, but they’ve all been very XC oriented. My current daily driver is a Rocky Mountain Element from 2018. Live in the Rocky Mountains, very arid, lots of up and down but I don’t do real chunk, though it is quite rocky around here. Can anyone comment on the bike based on personal experience? Thanks!

You can demo them at their HQ in Golden. I don’t think they charge anything.
I found it to be similar to the most recent crop of 120/120ish mm XC bikes whose geometries are getting very trail bikey. Feels light and eager to pedal, does a good job of shrugging off rocky trails, and isn’t as skittish as most XC bikes at speed through questionable terrain.
Haven’t ridden the Ryve, but I own a Spot Rocker and it’s been worth every penny ( granted I bought used), highly recommend!
I have the 2022. Absolutely love it. Climbs amazingly well (I’ve been mistaken for riding an ebike), but still does quite well on the downhill. Super responsive at speed. It’s a pricey down country bike, but I’d say worth it based on what you say you ride. It really straddles between XC and trail bike perfectly.
I own a Rollik which is now discontinued. It’s no longer my main bike but I loved it when it was. I would totally consider a Ryve and I want a Rocker. The owner of Spot (Wayne) part times in AZ and I’ve spoken to him a few times. He’s a character.
Mike Levy had one as his personal bike for a long time when he was at Pinkbike. Think he had it right around 25 lb. It’s a very light bike
