Customer brought their bike in and shared this video. I cannot get the bike to make this sound on a test ride. Even took it up a couple of steep climbs and pedaled in the lowest three climbing gears (SRAM X01 Eagle).

This is a Yeti SB140. I serviced the hub (DT 350 with a ratchet system) and pulled the cranks and bottom bracket which all look good. Even installed new cassette and chain. Any idea what this could be?

Here’s a weird one for you guys.

    1. Super basic I know, but Did he just have it in a specific gear and the chain was sliding against the front derailleur but not enough to change gears?

    2. Has the bike been cleaned since the video? Yetis reeeally like to be clean, I’ve come away from some dusty rides sounding like I’m on a Huffy and a good hose off is all that it needed

    3. Pivots??, did you tighten any of them or may need to grease a few. Had something similar on a few new trek fuels a while ago. Didn’t think it was the pivots, checked every other major bearing(bb, wheels, headset).. we were wrong.

    4. Ice maker. Cubed. Not crushed.

Can’t tell if those flats or clips. If clips might want to check his shoes.
