City xbike Cruiser

Just want to share with you my latest bike. I needed a cheap, comfy bike for riding at a chill pace around the city, doing groceries—basically the kind of bike you’re not worried about locking outside for a few hours. My budget was 100 euros. Unfortunately, I ended up buying this Diamond Back Ascent mounted with XT brakes and an XTR rear derailleur that I brought home for a little less than my budget 🙂 The frame was a little too small for me, but I couldn’t pass up those components at that price. So I thought: let’s add a really high handlebar. Some new tires and cables, and boom, it’s comfy af. I love the frame; the rear dropouts are so classy, and the color is a nice red. Unfortunately, the paint is chipped almost everywhere, but I don’t mind. As someone once said: just ride it! The last picture shows how it was when I bought it.
