I've just installed my second TPU tube, both different brands, and both came with stickers like this and no instructions on where they go. They're not a patch sticker because they have a circular cutout in the middle.

I stuck the first over the valve stem, with the sticky face towards the tube, but am asking here to see if this is the correct place for them?

    1. it is likely your inner tube valve stem is smooth plastic and doesn’t have the threads that would normally work with the valve stem nut. so far the only seller of a threaded valve stem on a tpu inner tube is cyclami and they have the traditional threaded nut.

The sticker goes on the rim, with the valve through the hole. It’s supposed to support the valve and keep it from rattling and possibly damaging carbon rims.

      It’s not necessary, though.

    3. i didnt know either. Thought it was an extra layer between the valve hole in the rim and the tube. To protect the tyre from the sharp edge of the valve hole edge a bit more.

Schraeder->Presta hole conversion, so it doesn’t rattle in there. Or for less rattle on Presta only rims. Apply on a degresased rim.
