As soon as this cyclist gets pushed by this mechanism he slowly makes his way up the hill. Actually, this invention is called a CycloCable in Norway. Since the roads in Norway are generally steep, It is essentially a ski lift built for bikers and cyclists. Cyclists position one foot on a small plate attached to a cable along the track and once the lift is activated it gently pulls the bikers at a comfortable speed, allowing them to remain balanced on their bikes without pedaling. Not only did it help cyclists, but it also helped in attracting tourists for them to try it out.
