my 6 year old has been loving the outdoor BMX park. i’m 32, 6’2”, and 200lbs. looking to ride with him and get back into it. would you go with a 26 or 29 incher?
24″ if you’re going to do some more advanced tricks or a 26″ if you just want to hit the pump track, do a couple jumps & hops. 29’s are only good for cruising. I have one of each & the 26 is my favorite but I’m mostly just cruising around the streets on it.

If you used to ride 20” I HIGHLY recommend a 22”. Familiar geometry but a bit enlarged. Comfy. I’m 36, 6’ 2” and 220lbs. Got a fit series 22 and put on some bigger bars, Sunday seat, odyssey brakes, and have been loving it.

I’m 6’3″ (used to be 250 now 185) riding a 20″ with a 21″ top tube. You don’t NEED a larger bike.

Grab a 24, if you want to really get busy with him and do some tricks.

If you want bigger wheels get a dirt jumper. Otherwise an appropriately sized 20″ or 22″

6’2″ I’d buy a 22″ for what you’re doing.
