A “cottage bike” being the casual ride you keep at a second location??
Here’s my Specialized Hard-Rock I keep at my parent’s place. Mostly stock with a dorky stem and bar, but it lends itself nicely to the trail systems around. I’ve fallen in love with under-biking as it often makes me more appreciative of the machine I’m using – even more so when the components are low end and whatnot but seem to work smoothly. Funny how that goes. Lower expectations I guess.

Don’t have one. Don’t need one. All bikes where I live. If I go somewhere a bike goes with me.
Nice old frame when it has horizontal dropouts and a derailleur. Isn’t it fun getting that wheel tightened in at the right spot and trued to the frame? Got 3 like that.

Giant Nutra I got for ten bucks. Needed a seatpost, and all the other bits are secondhand or came from the parts bin. It stays at the cabin with my wife’s Triple Cross. I call it the NutraG.
