You need a crank puller, specifically one for square taper cranks

If you don’t want to buy a crank puller sometimes you can ride the bike around the neighborhood and it will work itself loose. So you can pull it off with your hand. I wouldn’t go far from the house though because the pedal arm can come off at any point during the ride. And then you have to walk the bike back. Don’t try riding it back with the loose pedal arm. You’ll ruin the axle spindle in the bottom bracket.
