I just got myself a bike trainer, and a new cassette to go with it. Unfortunately it’s making sounds I did not expect, and that don’t seem right, especially on the smaller cogs. I tried micro alignment, but that doesn’t seem to make it better. Anyone got an idea what could be wrong? Is the chain too worn and doesn’t go well with the new cassette? Anything else that could be wrong here? (The shifting is SRAM rival AXS, and the trainer a tacx neo 2t, in case it matters).

    1. Not sure I have enough information to answer you yet.
      – what cassette is installed? Is it the same spec as on your bike? (Brand, number of speeds, size of gears)
      – what kind of noise? A video would be helpful
      – how old/worn is the chain?

    2. I had this problem with a shimano 10spd because I didn’t put on the hub spacer before the cassette. This spacer should not be installed if you run the sram 12 spd (among others). Make sure you didn’t put the spacer on the hub. If that doesn’t fix it have a read through the installation instructions. If that doesn’t fix it I’d give Tacx a call.
