Hello fellow riders. We 62m and 59w Calgarians wish to tour from Ottawa to Montreal. I cannot bike pack so inns and such is required for accommodation.
We will have our own bikes and equipment and able to do 50km a day with odd day off to foot tour. Road riding is possible but much more comfortable on bike pathways.
We also have to be budget conscious. Any suggestions on how's and when and great ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked out the Route Verte website? It has an interactive map with the Route Verte highways on, descriptions of path conditions, and a list of bike friendly places to stay – there are more places to stay that are not included there, but it is a great start.
