Good day, everyone, I've stumbled upon the issue on bicycle rack installation having the rim break on the way of the rail, how bad is the idea of living it one side only? If anyone has had similar issues please lmk how you overcame em

Just bend the other bar so it bends around the brake caliper.
I think I have same bike (triban RC100?)and had same problem. I only use one side only for 3 years now and never had problem
The strut on this rack doesn’t look bendable to me. I’ve used racks that have flat, twisted, chrome struts that I’ve bent to go around the cable in the brake caliper. You might also look into using a p clamp or a seat post clamp with rack mounting points. Good luck.
