    1. The thing I appreciate about Angel is that whether he’s standing on a beach where thousands died or in a beautiful cathedral, he can convey enthusiasm balanced with solemn respect. I honestly don’t know why this channel doesn’t have a million followers already.

    2. My father literally drove the 3rd tank onto Omaha beach on d-day. He said that they were delayed by 3 hours from driving onto the beach cause they collectively refused to drive over the dead American soldiers that littered the beach. Yet whenever anyone acknowledged his efforts, he'd always say that the real hero's never made it home.

    3. Thank you for showing us d ropes in Normandy. May I suggest a site by historian Robt C Valentine. Just Google him. He has a hefty website with a plethora of audio-visuals, especially on 1944 that u will like 😊

    4. its disappointing and somewhat insulting to see that you didn't cover the Canadian contribution at all, as you did extensively on the American and lesser on the British contribution. Some 14,000 Canadian troops including Armored units landed on Juno beach as well as 450 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion troops that dropped into France on June 5th alongside their British and American brothers. There were 124 Canadian naval vessels and 10,000 sailors as well as 39 Squadrons of the Royal Canadian Airforce . We also have a fantastic museum at Juno beach. By the end of the Normandy campaign we incurred 18,700casualties of which some 5000 dead are buried at Beny-sur-Mer near the town of Reviers. Please understand that we are proudly Canadian, and should be represented as well.
